Enderby Twinning Association is twinned with Le Haillan, a small town on the outskirts of Bordeaux in South West France.
The aim of the Association is to promote and foster international friendship and understanding between the people of Enderby and those of Le Haillan to stimulate and foster the mutual exchanges at all levels between the communities.
In 2017 the Twinning is celebrating it's 30th anniversary and Le Haillan was established 150 years ago.

About Us
An original school exchange connection between Brockington College, Enderby and
Emile Zola College, Le Haillan, developed into a formal Twinning between the two
town councils. The Treaties can be seen in the display cabinet in the Small Hall at
the Civic Centre. The first signing was in France in 1987. Several Parish Councillors,
the Parish Clerk and a number of Twinning Association members made the journey
to see the Mayor of Le Haillan and the Enderby Parish Chairman, Ken Thomas, sign
the documents.
A French party, including the Mayor of Le Haillan, visited Enderby the following year
to complete the process. A tree was planted at Brockington College to commemorate
the event.
The Twinning Association was set up to support the Parish Council's connection.
Since then the two associations have visited each other, staying in each others'
homes, in alternate years and many strong friendships have grown up and continued
over the thirty years.
In addition to the French friendships which have developed, this has been an
excellent way of meeting new English friends and we have very enjoyable fund
raising and social events which bring the English twinners together in between visits
to France.
